Something for everyone
P&O Cruises have carefully compiled a fantastic range of tours in each port and there’s something to suit everyone. Once on board, the friendly Shore Tours staff will give an informative talk on the destinations you will visit on your cruise, and will be happy to assist with any queries.
American Samoa
American Samoa is a tropical destination that will delight you with its magnificent mountain ridges, peaceful bays, quaint villages, and some of the world’s most remote and utterly beautiful reefs and beaches. Its’ spectacular deep water harbour is framed by dramatic mountain peaks cloaked in lush vegetation.
Cook Islands
Fifteen islands scattered over two million square kilometres of the Pacific Ocean form the Cook Islands. More than half of the population lives on the island of Rarotonga, the spiritual and geographic heart of Polynesia. Here, jagged peaks and razorback ridges of lush forest loom over pristine white-sand beaches.
Fiji
Fiji is a South Pacific island nation consisting of over 350 islands and islets, only 100 of which are inhabited. Suva, the capital, is the South Pacific’s largest city and features a fascinating architectural blend of British colonialism and modern Fijian style. You will never forget Fiji’s friendly smiles, spectacular beaches, and unique culture.
French Polynesia
French Polynesia is a thrilling wonderland of reef-fringed islands and translucent aqua lagoons. Of its’ 35 islands, Tahiti is the most famous. The epitome of the Pacific dream, it’s where the rich and famous come to play. This iconic South Pacific treasure is also renowned for its rare black pearls and postcard-perfect landscapes.
Loyalty Islands
Four inhabited raised coral atolls - Lifou, Mare, Ouvea and Tiga form the Loyalty Islands. These islands boast some of the most diverse landscapes in the South Pacific from large tracts of impenetrable bush to secluded beaches. Ouvea is home to one of the Pacific’s finest beaches – a 25km stretch of talcum-powderlike white sand fronting a turquoise lagoon.
New Caledonia
New Caledonia offers glorious Pacific charm infused with French flavour. In Noumea, you’ll find fabulous dining, stylish boutiques and stunning surrounding bays and beaches. Outside the city, there is a wealth of diverse landscapes; rolling plains, lush river valleys, steep mountains, tumbling waterfalls, cool rainforests and wild coastlines.
Tonga
Tonga is famous for its marvellous whale watching, and is one of the only places in the world where you can swim with these magnificent creatures. It also offers spectacular diving and snorkelling. In Tonga, ancient traditions sit alongside the latest offerings of modern life. It is also the Pacific’s only remaining kingdom.
Vanuatu
An archipelago of 83 islands, Vanuatu offers a unique blend of tribal communities, resorts, beaches, accessible volcanoes and spectacular cascading waterfalls. Vanuatu's underwater world is just as magnificent, with superb visibility, warm water and numerous accessible dive sites, including that of the famous ‘President Coolidge’ shipwreck.
Western Samoa
Come face to face with multi-coloured coral and other marine life in the shallow waters of deliriously lovely lagoons.
