Of course, you're eager to get ashore, and your crew works tirelessly to give you as much time as possible once you get there. The MV Expedition uses its own fleet of Zodiacs to transfer you ashore swiftly and comfortably. With only 134 passengers maximum per departure, you have the flexibility to land anywhere to deliver you the best possible experience. The MV Expedition's own fleet of heavy-duty Zodiacs and custom-built embarkation platforms to transfer you ashore, give you more time with the land, wildlife and people of the polar regions. And if you want to head back to the ship a little early, your pilots will be happy to bring you back.

Uniquely equipped to meet the demands of cruising in extreme environments, the MS Expedition provides an exceptionally spacious, comfortable and safe expedition experience for all her guests. She is ideal for the up-close, casual and intimate style of cruising that contemporary small-ship cruising demands.

While she is large enough to provide stability, speed and ample public space, she is small enough to maneuver through remote waterways and get you close to the action. In the hands of a skilled crew, her smaller size gives you access to places few others have been.

With jaw-dropping views available just about everywhere you stand, the Expedition is a photographer's best friend.

The MS Expedition offers great sightlines - its for observing wildlife, and incorporate design features that enhance the viewing experience. As the ship provides excellent all-round viewing access, the MS Expedition minimises the amount of manoeuvering required in order to keep wildlife in line of sight.

The ship's superior views don't end above deck, either. Whether dining or sharing a drink, you'll be able to relax in the comfort of the ship's interior without being cut off from the remarkable view outside. Both the dining room and the Discovery Lounge are framed on three sides by exceptional views, and all cabins are ocean-facing and feature a window or a porthole.

Photography expert

Each expedition trip now comes with a resident photography expert on hand to help you capture the best possible photos on your trip. Your photographer will host lectures and workshops and teach you all the tips and tricks to take better photos or brush up on your technique.

A stellar restaurant that moves wherever you do means you're never far from a great meal.

The original polar explorers got by on tinned meat, preserves and baked beans. Not us. On board the MS Expedition, we believe that an extraordinary voyage demands equally extraordinary cuisine.

Begin with a dining area framed on three sides by scenery that always changes. Toss in a warm, cheerful atmosphere. Add superb cuisine, amazing wine and great service. The result? Gourmet dining aboard the MS Expedition—an experience to be savoured.

The ship's dining room is spacious enough to accommodate her full complement of passengers in one sitting. Three times daily, your team of professional chefs serves up a diverse selection of gourmet dishes. Afternoon tea is served and complimentary tea and coffee are available anytime.

While breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style, dinners feature polished yet personable table service. To encourage mingling with fellow adventurers, tables are unassigned and the dining room offers full bar service, including a selection of international wines. Vegetarian travellers are assured plenty of options, and special dietary requirements are easily accommodated with advance notice.
