Why choose France?

Synonymous with romance and picture-perfect scenery, France has attracted travellers for centuries. Marvel at the timeless monuments of Paris, the world's most romantic city... explore the vineyards and castles of the Loire Valley, or reward yourself with an extravagant escape on the world-renowned French Riviera.

Why choose Spain?

Combining a remarkable history with 21st-century sophistication, Spain is a vibrant and impassioned destination. Stunning beaches attract sun-worshippers from all over the world, while World Heritage cities fuse medieval and Gothic architecture with Moorish influences from North Africa and the contemporary designs of world-renowned artists. Visitors to Spain cannot help but be seduced by the delicious regional cuisines, lively festivals and intoxicating lust for life that permeates the entire country.

Madrid, Spain’s sophisticated capital, offers outstanding art museums, fascinating historical monuments and characteristic tapas bars, while Barcelona is one of Europe’s most alluring cities – an open-air museum of works by architect Antoni Gaudí that boasts pleasant sea breezes, an amazing restaurant scene and countless cultural festivals.

The southern region of Andalucia is the best place to experience Spain’s traditional passions: flamenco, bullfighting and tapas. The easy-going Andalucian capital of Seville is a delight, while the Alhmabra palace in Granada and the Mezquita in Cordoba are some of Europe’s finest examples of Islamic Moorish architecture. Travel out of the cities to explore the quaint villages, fabulous vineyards and charming rural landscapes of the spectacular Spanish countryside. Relax on the sparkling beaches of the Costa del Sol, join the party on the Balearic Islands or soak up the Riviera atmosphere of San Sebastian on the northern coast. Wherever your journey takes you, Spain is sure to captivate. Taste the food, feel the music, learn to dance, and join the never-ending festivities of this truly enticing country.

Why Choose Portugal?

With a rich history, vibrant culture, architectural wonders, delicious cuisine and world-class wineries, Portugal is a travellers’ delight. Lisbon’s riverside setting and magical old town make it one of Europe’s most enchanting capitals, while the northern city of Oporto is equally charming, with quaint houses lined up along the Douro River as it makes its way into the nearby Douro Valley, home of the world-famous port wine.

The Portuguese countryside offers a spectacular mix of green hills, open plains, beautiful vineyards and picturesque villages. Don’t miss the medieval stone walls and whitewashed houses of Obidos or the eerie bones chapel at Evora, a World Heritage– listed town in the heart of the lovely cork-producing region. Discover Coimbra, home to one of Europe’s oldest universities; Fatima, an important religious pilgrimage centre; and Sintra, whose majestic palaces were once the summer homes of Portuguese royalty.

And then of course, there is Portugal’s stunning coastline. North of Lisbon, the Estoril coast is cosmopolitan and cool while the southern Algarve coast boasts popular resort towns, excellent golf courses and many links to Portugal’s navigational heritage. Portugal’s treasures are everywhere, and the remarkable diversity of its cities and landscapes makes for an exceptionally rewarding holiday experience.
