If you’re a Geckos traveller you’re probably a pretty interesting person. You might have travelled a bit before, but you’ve done the math and know it’s better (and often cheaper) to travel in a small group. Our average group has 9 people, (maybe a few more in East Africa) and most of our travellers are aged in their 20s and 30s. So if you’ve got an open mind, a sense of adventure and are willing to step outside the comfort zone then you’ll fit right in.

When it comes to travel, we don’t mess around. You’ll snack on interesting grub, clamber aboard public transport, sleep in family run “hotels” and experience homestays with folks from all walks of life (the Uros Indians make surprisingly good hosts).

You’ll visit all the must-see sites, such as Machu Picchu and the Niagara Falls, but you’ll also uncover some hidden gems. We’ll mix it up with experiences that you won’t find in any guidebook and you’ll have enough free time to make your own discoveries. What’s not to like? So grab a handful of deep fried grasshoppers, flag down a chicken bus, take a left at the sloths, a right on the Inca Trail, navigate the Grand Canyon, head straight through the spray of the Garganta del Diablo at Iguazu Falls and put your foot down in the Amazon Jungle (don’t forget to hold on).

As they say, time flies when you’re chewing coca leaves. If you arrive somewhere familiar, you’ve taken a wrong turn.

You'll find sharing your adventure is part of the fun, which is especially good news for single travellers who are bound to make new friends.
