The three countries which make up the Caucasus - Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan - are all former republics of the Soviet Union, situated to the south of the Caucasus Mountains between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea.
Visit the largest lake in the world, the Caspian Sea, and the highest, Lake Sevan. Starting in the Azerbaijan capital, Baku, the tour covers all the major points of interest in this fascinating, yet little-known region, with a brief excursion into Turkey to visit the ruins of the 9th-12th century metropolis of Ani.
The homeward journey is broken with a stopover in Dubai.
