This guided tour, led by Sydney Architect Malcolm Carver, provides a unique opportunity for architects and others interested in visiting the great modern and contemporary buildings of the 20th and 21st century in the USA. The tour includes the most outstanding top ten Frank Lloyd Wright buildings of previous tours. Whilst Wright was a powerful influence on the Twentieth Century and its architecture, we parallel the study of Wright with major projects of 10 significant contemporary architects designated by the American Institute of Architects. They include Richard Meier, Eero Saarinen, Philip Johnson, Mies van der Rohe, Steven Holl, Santiago Calatrava, Norman Foster and Frank Gehry. all of whom have won either the AIA Gold Medal or are Pritzker Architecture Prize Winners or both.

Visit the very best of the best with the absolute highlights being Fallingwater, both Taliesin and Taliesin West, Johnson Wax Factory and Guggenheim Museum, all by Wright and more, then Fortaleza Hall by Foster, Frank Gehry's Walt Disney Concert Hall, Farnsworth House by Mies van der Rohe, Glass House by Johnson and Milwaukee Art Museum by Santiago Calatrava. These destinations have considerable wow factors each day, seeing is believing, but you will actually see much more of the great cities with many more gems too long to list.
