Spectacular sports tour of the best of Southern Africa

Impodimo Lodge

15 days : 29 September - 13 October 2016

Following an unforgettable Rugby World Cup campaign, Australia is set to tour to South Africa during the Rugby Championship in October 2016, looking to secure their first victory over the Springboks in Pretoria, a venue which has a history or producing high scoring thrillers including the Qantas Wallabies 44-31 loss in 2010. Michael Cheika on his first foray into South Africa as coach will be looking for his squad to build on their impressive performances in 2015.

Courtesy of its spectacular scenery, diverse wildlife and rich cultural history, South Africa is regarded by those who have toured there as the best destination on Australian rugby's away calendar.

Throughout 15 magical days you will be treated to an unforgettable African experience. Imagine intimate safaris led by experienced local guides, getting up close and personal with South Africa's wildlife in its natural habitat, exclusive Boma dinners under the stars sipping the region's finest wines and distinctive cuisine, standing alongside the raging Victoria Falls, witnessing rugby at its best with matches featuring South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, visiting the picturesque city of Cape Town - voted one of the top 10 cities in the world - and the list goes on.

What's more, during our stay, the Australian cricket team are playing an ODI series against South Africa including two matches at the iconic Newlands & Centurion cricket grounds. Both matches are an optional addition within your tour:

  • Saturday, 01 October 2016: South Africa v Australia, Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria

Optional
