All-inclusive, guided gourmet walking holidays
Italian Lakes, Piedmont, Abruzzo, Siena, Italian Alps, Tuscan,Victorian Alps, Mount Buffalo, Falls Creek,
Hedonistic Hiking is passionate about three things: food, wine and walking. And they are suitably placed to offer wonderful combinations of these fascinating pursuits for small groups in the best food and wine regions of Australia and Italy.
A maximum of only 16 people - friendly, interesting, like-minded travellers from all corners of the globe - come along on these all-inclusive, guided holidays. Whilst the walks range from gentle to more challenging, there is always a support vehicle on hand so that guests can walk as much or as little as they please. The tours are not in any way competitive and everyone is free to walk at their own pace.
The programme of hikes includes exploring Mount Buffalo National Parks, the Victorian Alps and vineyards, or Falls Creek in Australia, Tuscany - Lucca, Volterra and Elba, the Italian Lakes of Como, Maggiore and Orta, Abruzzo's National Parks, the Italian Alps, Siena, Parma or Southern Italy, and Austria and the Dolomites.
A mixture of fine dining experiences in a variety of local restaurants and gourmet picnic lunches ensures that you get to sample the very best food and wine the regions have to offer, with the emphasis always on premium quality, locally- sourced produce.
Jackie and Mick Parsons have been involved in the travel industry for over 35 years and, since its debut in 2007, Hedonistic Hiking has gone from strength to strength.
Highlights include great accommodation, fabulous hiking trails, wonderful regional food and wine, sunset dinners, cooking classes, rich cultural experiences, meeting winemakers, Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper viewing, private boat trips, truffle hunting, the Palio horse race in Siena, a visit to a Parmesan cheese producer and sleeping in a cave.
